…Commends Team for AFCON Semi-Final Feat, Affirms Nation’s Pride
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has lauded the Super Eagles for their spirited display at the Africa Cup of Nations, following their narrow defeat on penalties in the semi-final match against host country, Morocco.
The Governor said the team’s progression to the last four of the tournament reflects their resilience, togetherness, and strong will to succeed, stressing that even though the final outcome fell short of expectations, their performance brought honour to the nation.
“The Super Eagles showed character, focus, and unwavering commitment. While results may not always favour our efforts, the energy, unity, and passion they demonstrated throughout the competition deserve national commendation,” Governor Radda remarked.
He noted that qualifying for the semi-final stage of the AFCON is in itself a significant accomplishment and clear evidence of the quality, dedication, and competitive spirit of both the players and their handlers.
Governor Radda congratulated the team on their impressive run in the tournament and reassured them of the continued support and confidence of Nigerians in their abilities.
“Hold your heads high. The exposure and experience from this campaign will pave the way for even greater achievements in the future. Nigeria stands with you and looks forward to more glorious moments ahead,” the Governor said.
He further expressed appreciation to the Super Eagles for proudly carrying the nation’s colours and projecting Nigeria’s image with dignity, strength, and unity on the continental stage.
