Following the recent road accident involving Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State yesterday paid a visit to him at the Katsina State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro Abuja.
The visit was marked by warmth, brotherhood, and genuine solidarity. It was aimed at checking on Governor Radda well-being, offering words of comfort, and thanking God for His divine protection over the Governor’s life.
During the visit, Governor Namadi expressed deep gratitude to God for sparing Governor Radda from harm in the accident. He also prayed fervently against any future occurrences, asking for continued protection over the Governor, his family, and his administration.
Leading the prayer, Governor Namadi said: “We thank You, Lord, for preserving the life of Your servant, Dikko Radda. No evil shall befall him, and no harm shall come near his dwelling. Every plan of the enemy is cancelled. Affliction shall not rise again in this home. We commit his life, his family, and his administration into Your hands. It shall be well with him, his household, and with the entire government and people of Katsina State.”
Governor Radda, visibly moved by the kind gesture, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Governor Namadi. He described the visit as uplifting, deeply meaningful, and a reflection of true friendship and shared humanity.
In his remarks, Governor Radda noted that such visits transcend politics. He said they serve as a strong reminder of the unity, compassion, and brotherhood that bind leaders and citizens across Nigeria.
