In a move to strengthen Yobe State’s agricultural value chain, Governor Mai Mala Buni, paid an unscheduled visit to the Damaturu Sesame Seeds Processing Plant today.
The visit, which was announced by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing agro-industrial development in the state.
Governor Buni expressed satisfaction with the facility’s progress and its potential to boost sesame seed processing for both local and international markets. He commended the workforce for their dedication and urged them to maintain high standards to ensure the plant achieves its full potential.
“This facility represents our resolve to promote agriculture and create job opportunities for our people. Yobe State is poised to become a key player in sesame seed production and export,” the governor stated.
The visit also highlighted Governor Buni’s strategic focus on diversifying the state’s economy through agriculture, a sector he has repeatedly emphasized as pivotal to Yobe’s development agenda.
