Governor Abba Kabir Loses Uncle, attends funeral in Kano

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state in company of members of the State Executive Council were among hundred of muslim faithful who attended the funeral prayer of late Alhaji Shehu Yusuf Dan Makwayo at the Emir’s Palace, Kano.

This was contained in a Statement made available to newsmen by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The deceased, an uncle to the Governor, died yesterday night after a protracted illness at the age of 78.

He was a former staff of Kano State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Late Alhaji Shehu Yusuf Dan Makwayo is survived by three wives, 31 children and 120 grandchildren.

The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah, the most exalted to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and may Jannatul Firdausi be his final abode.

“May Almighty Allah give us the courage and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” Prayed, the Governor

After the funeral prayer, the Governor ans hia entourage proceed to his father grave late Malam Kabir Yusuf and conducted a prayer for the demise soul.
