…urges smooth, safe and spiritually rewarding pilgrimage for pilgrims
In a move to ensure a seamless 2025 Hajj experience for pilgrims from Katsina State, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has officially constituted the State’s Hajj Delegation, appointing Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, as the Amirul-Hajj.
The high-powered team includes prominent figures such as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Yahaya Saif; Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Ishaq Shehu Dabai; and respected Islamic scholars Sheikh Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar) and Sheikh Naziru Kofar-Baru. Others appointed are Justice Aminu Tukur Kofar-Bai, Hon. Shehu Abdu Daura, Alhaji Shafi’u Abdu Duwan, Alhaji Lawal Attahiru Bakori, Barrister Umar Abubakar, and Alhaji Aliyu Hussaini.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Delegation is charged with overseeing and supervising all Hajj-related operations—both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Their mandate includes ensuring the safety, comfort, and welfare of pilgrims, managing airlift logistics, and submitting a detailed post-Hajj report.
Governor Radda, who is expected to inaugurate the team shortly, prayed for Allah’s guidance for the delegation, the Pilgrims Welfare Board, and all intending pilgrims.
