Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has taken a decisive step toward women’s empowerment by inaugurating the steering committee for the Nigeria for Women Project (NFWP).
This federal initiative, championed by the Ministry of Women Affairs, aims to transform the livelihoods of women in selected communities.
Governor Radda chairs the committee, which includes top officials like the Commissioners for Women Affairs, Finance, Education, Agriculture, Health, and Environment, alongside the KASEDA Director General.
The NFWP State Coordinator serves as secretary, with provisions to include additional experts for a more robust implementation.
“This initiative holds immense potential to uplift women in Katsina, and we’re committed to its swift execution,” Governor Radda emphasized, urging the committee to ensure project milestones are met before the year ends.
The NFWP is poised to unlock sustainable economic opportunities, empowering women to lead and thrive across Katsina State’s communities.
