Gov Radda Joins Muslim Community at Opening of New Friday Mosque in Barhim Estate, Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, attended the official opening of the newly constructed Friday Mosque at the Barhim Housing Complex in Katsina City, a project he personally sponsored to benefit the local community.

The event was attended by senior Islamic scholars and imams from across the state, who led prayers and delivered guidance to the community.

Sheikh Ahmed Suleiman delivered the sermons for the inauguration, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, and the role of leadership in advancing communal wellbeing.

Several scholars commended Governor Radda dedication to supporting religious activities and community development, noting that the mosque represents Sadaqatul Jariya (ongoing charity) that will continue to benefit the community for generations.

They also prayed to Allah to grant the Governor goodness, health, and wisdom in leading Katsina State.

The scholars urged residents of the Barhim Estate to maintain the mosque, encouraging them to develop it into a center for education, moral upbringing, and Quranic recitation for both children and adults, thereby enhancing the religious and social life of the community.

Also in attendance were Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; Chairman of Zakat and Waqf, Sheikh Dr Ahmed Musa Filin Samji; Chairman of Hizba Board Katsina, Mal Abu Ammar; Commissioner for Health, Hon. Musa Adamu; and members of the Katsina State Executive Council, among other dignitaries.
