Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has been ranked number one in safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens, according to the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd).
Speaking at a security stakeholders’ engagement in Damaturu, Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam praised the Governor’s proactive leadership and investment in security infrastructure, describing Buni’s strategy as “a gold standard for others to follow.”
“In terms of protecting the lives and property of his people, Governor Buni stands tall among his peers. His commitment is evident in the peace we now enjoy across Yobe State,” the SSA stated.
He highlighted the administration’s partnership with security agencies, community leaders, and vigilante groups, which has significantly reduced threats from insurgents and criminal elements.
“From equipping our security operatives to reviving community intelligence systems, Buni’s policies are not only responsive but results-driven,” Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam added.
He also praised the governor’s humanitarian efforts toward victims of insecurity, including the reconstruction of destroyed homes and resettlement of displaced persons.
The SSA called on the people of Yobe to continue supporting the administration’s peace agenda and resist any elements attempting to destabilize the state.
Observers and security analysts across the region have echoed similar sentiments, describing Yobe’s current state of calm as a testament to Gov. Buni’s foresight and unwavering dedication.
