From Sani Gazas Chinade, Damaturu
Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni, has declared that his administration gives no room for political gossip or divisions, insisting that leadership must rest on unity, service, and collective progress.
Speaking at the swearing-in of a new Grand Khadi, five Special Advisers, a Permanent SUBEB Member, and 13 Permanent Secretaries at the Government House Banquet Hall, Damaturu, the governor reminded the appointees that their new roles come with great responsibility.
Governor Buni recalled his sweeping victories in both the 2019 and 2023 elections, winning across all wards and polling units, a feat he said reflects the overwhelming trust of Yobe people.
> “With this kind of support, how can I listen to political gossip or allow myself to be used to create divisions? I do not give room for gossip in my administration,” Buni stressed.
He urged the new officials to serve with dedication, unity, and harmony, describing them as agents of quality service delivery entrusted to move the state forward.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to peace, good governance, and citizens’ welfare, assuring that the progress already achieved will be sustained and expanded.
