The Global Solidarity Network’s Nasser Youth Movement – Swahili Language Department held the second session of “Global Solidarity Talks,” focusing on “The Impact of Swahili on Cultures and National Identity: Tanzania and Kenya as Models.”
Prominent speakers included Professor Kinenee Wamutiso from the University of Nairobi and Professor Dr. Ayman Al-Aasar from Al-Azhar University.
They emphasized Swahili’s roots in Arabic, its role in uniting over twenty tribes, and UNESCO’s efforts to promote it as a global language.
The session underscored Swahili’s significance in fostering cultural and linguistic unity in East Africa.
Moderated by Yasmin Kamal, the talks also featured Hassan Ghazaly, founder of the Global Solidarity Network, who highlighted the network’s commitment to empowering youth and promoting South-South cooperation through various initiatives.
