In a historic diplomatic move, Saudi Arabia and France have jointly launched a high-level Two-State Solution Conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, reigniting global momentum toward a peaceful resolution to the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The conference, which opened today, brings together foreign ministers, peace envoys, and key stakeholders from over 50 nations, including members of the Arab League, European Union, United States, and the African Union. With the world watching, the summit aims to craft a renewed framework for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state coexisting peacefully alongside Israel.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his French counterpart, Stéphane Séjourné, delivered powerful joint remarks, calling for “bold international action, political will, and moral responsibility” to end the bloodshed and usher in a new era of coexistence.
“This is not merely a diplomatic gathering—it is a moral obligation to give hope back to generations of Palestinians and Israelis who have known only conflict,” Prince Faisal declared.

The conference agenda includes proposals for borders based on pre-1967 lines, Jerusalem’s shared status, security guarantees, and humanitarian reconstruction in Gaza and the West Bank.
