Jibia Local Government Area was thrown into chaos this morning as a truck loaded with gas cylinders exploded at Tamal Filling Station along Kagadama-Magamar Jibia Road. The incident, which occurred around 8:45 a.m., damaged six vehicles but, thankfully, claimed no lives.
Swift action by police operatives from the Jibia Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer and supported by military personnel, prevented further disaster by containing the inferno. Their quick response saved lives and minimized property damage.
The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, has ordered a thorough investigation into the explosion’s cause. Residents have been urged to remain calm as authorities work to uncover the details surrounding the incident.
