The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has visited Yobe State to commiserate with the government and residents following a deadly assault by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
The attack, which took place on Monday, targeted the 27 Task Force Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Buni Gari, Gujba Local Government Area, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers.
Describing the incident as deeply regrettable, Dr. Ganduje expressed the APC leadership’s solidarity with the people of Yobe during this difficult time. He assured them that President Tinubu’s administration is intensifying efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
Ganduje further emphasized the importance of leveraging modern technology in the fight against terrorism, urging both the state government and security forces to strengthen their surveillance and intelligence capabilities.
Governor Mai Mala Buni, while receiving the delegation, expressed appreciation to Dr. Ganduje for his visit and support. He noted that the state government is actively collaborating with security agencies to enhance technological interventions aimed at curbing insecurity.
Accompanying the APC National Chairman on the visit were the party’s National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, Deputy National Chairman (North) Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, and other members of the National Working Committee.
