KATSINA — National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday led a powerful delegation of party leaders to condole with Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, over the recent passing of his beloved mother, Hajiya Safara’u.
The delegation, comprising top APC officials and state party executives, arrived at the Government House to express heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the party’s national leadership.
Dr. Ganduje noted that the sad news of Hajiya Safara’u’s demise reached them while on pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
“We offered special prayers for her soul in Makkah, but felt it was necessary to be physically present in Katsina to stand with our brother, Governor Radda, and the good people of the state during this trying moment,” he said, describing her death as a national loss.
He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Receiving the delegation, Katsina State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, who stood in for Governor Radda, expressed gratitude to the APC national leadership for the show of solidarity, recalling similar condolence visits by several governors across Nigeria.
Among those in the APC entourage were Katsina APC Chairman Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura and other state party officials.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nasir Yahya Daura, alongside members of the State Executive Council, also joined in receiving the visitors.
The visit underscored the unity and brotherhood within the APC family during moments of grief.
