Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of All Progressive Party (APC) has
said that the Katsina State Government is set to conduct a free, fair and credible
local governments elections in the 34 Local Councils on February 15, 2025.
Ganduje disclosed this while presenting APC party flags to the Aspirants of
Chairmanship and councillorship candidates on Saturday in Ingawa LGA of
Katsina State.
He further disclosed that the state government has made adequate arrangements for
the smooth conduct of the Local Government Councils elections.
The National Chairman also disclosed that the state government has directed
Electoral Officers to provide level playing ground to the remaining few parties that
did not defect to APC in the state.
Earlier, Governor Dikko Radda has said that APC administration had done well in
the provision of social amenities to the people of Katsina and does not need to rig
the elections.
“We will not enter any room to hide and manipulate the elections results but shall
depend on our strength to have a landslide victory in the election.
“We have now convinced several Former PDP pillars to our party including
Former Governor Ibrahim Shema and the State PDP Party Chairman Rabiu Gambo
Bakori to our party.
We have convinced other parties to join our party; the APC is the only party to
beat in the state.” He said
Radda urged the state citizens to come out emmass to participate during the forthcoming LGAs election on February, 15 2025.
