FUNTUA – A passionate call for action has emerged from Funtua, as Malam Abubakar, a concerned resident, sounded the alarm over the deteriorating condition of the Funtua Fire Service office in the area. He warned that without urgent upgrades, the facility risks becoming ineffective in the face of growing fire emergencies.
According to Malam Abubakar, the station lacks modern firefighting equipment and proper infrastructure, making it ill-prepared to respond swiftly and efficiently to incidents.
“With the town’s rapid population growth and urban expansion, we need stronger emergency response capacity,” he said. “Upgrading this fire service office could be the difference between life and death in times of crisis.”
He urged relevant authorities to prioritize the safety of Funtua residents by investing in modern equipment, better infrastructure, and trained personnel.
“This isn’t just about buildings or trucks—it’s about protecting lives and property. We cannot afford to wait until disaster strikes,” Malam Abubakar emphasized.
Residents are hoping the government listens—before it’s too late.
