The demonstration, which began early Monday morning, saw hundreds of students chanting slogans and demanding justice, insisting that the perpetrators be held accountable. The protest follows a meeting between the university’s Vice-Chancellor and the students on Sunday, during which he expressed deep regret over the incident and assured them that efforts were underway to bring those responsible to book.

However, tensions remain high as some students claim this is not the first time the CJTF has been linked to violent incidents in Dutsinma. They are calling for immediate government intervention to prevent what they describe as a pattern of extrajudicial killings.

Security operatives have been deployed to the scene to maintain order, while university authorities and local officials engage with the protesters in a bid to de-escalate the situation.

More details to follow.
