The Governing Council of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma FUDMA has announced the appointment of Dr. Musa Ajiya as the new Registrar of the institution.
The decision was made during the Council’s 29th Regular Meeting held in Dutse, Jigawa State, where Dr. Ajiya emerged as the top candidate among six shortlisted for the role. His selection was based on a recommendation from the Board for the Appointment of the Registrar, which recognized his exceptional qualifications and experience.
Dr. Ajiya, a native of Biu in Borno State, brings a wealth of administrative expertise to the position. He previously served as a Deputy Registrar and held prominent roles at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), including Chief Mobilisation Officer and Institute Secretary. Additionally, he contributed to FUDMA as Academic Secretary during a sabbatical and led the Human Resources department at the Airforce Institute of Technology.
Born in Kaduna, Dr. Ajiya obtained his BSc in Economics from the University of Maiduguri and advanced degrees in International Relations from ABU Zaria. He is known for his dedication to academic excellence and administrative integrity.
Dr. Ajiya is married and has one child. His appointment was officially announced by Col. Abdulmumini Aminu (Rtd), the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council, alongside FUDMA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi.
This new appointment marks a significant milestone for the university as it continues its commitment to integrity and service.
