FRSC Zamfara Hands Over Over N630,000 to Accident Victims’ Relative

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara Sector Command, has handed over the sum of N630,750 recovered from a tragic road accident to the relative of the victims, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Karakkai.

The accident, caused by wrongful overtaking and overspeeding, occurred on November 21, 2024, at Tazame village along the Gusau-Funtua route.

It involved a white bus with registration number ABJ758XB and a Volkswagen Golf without registration plates.

In a statement signed by SRC Isah Aliyu Kankara, Sector Head of Public Education, the FRSC Rescue Team swiftly responded to the distress call, evacuating the injured to the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau.

Among the items recovered at the scene were three Tecno keypad phones, two Android smartphones, and cash amounting to N630,750, which were subsequently handed over to the victims’ relative.

The Zamfara Sector Commander, CC Tijjani Iliyasu, urged drivers to prioritize road safety by adhering to traffic rules, avoiding overspeeding, overloading, and dangerous overtaking.
