As the Eid-el-Kabir festivities draw near, the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Katsina State Command, has hit the ground running with a robust deployment of personnel and logistics to ensure a smooth, safe celebration across the state.

In a press statement released today by the Public Education Officer, Deputy Route Commander Shamsudeen Babajo, the Sector Commander, CC Maxwell K. Lede, announced the commencement of special patrol and traffic control operations across key routes in the state.

According to Lede, the command has stationed ambulances, a heavy-duty tow truck, and seven patrol vehicles at strategic points along major highways and critical junctions. He emphasized that Special Marshals have also been mobilized to support regular officers, all in a bid to guarantee uninterrupted traffic flow and enhanced road safety.

The Eid special operation, which runs from Thursday, June 5 to Wednesday, June 11, will also cover key cultural events such as the famous “Hawan Sarki” scheduled for June 7, a major crowd-puller in the state. The FRSC boss assured that the Corps is working closely with other security agencies to provide a safe and coordinated traffic environment throughout the celebrations.

Lede also urged motorists and road users to download and utilize the FRSC mobile app, which provides real-time transit guidance, emergency reporting, and road safety tips to help reduce Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs).

He concluded with a call for public cooperation:

“Let’s work together to keep our roads safe. On behalf of the entire FRSC Katsina State Command, I wish the good people of Katsina—The Home of Heritage and Hospitality—a peaceful, joyful, and accident-free Eid-el-Kabir.”

Happy Sallah, Katsina! Drive Safe, Stay Safe.
