FRCN Kaduna Faces Two-Month Blackout, Listeners Demand Urgent Action

Listeners across Kaduna State are raising the alarm over the prolonged power outage that has silenced FRCN Kaduna National Station for nearly two months. The station, a vital source of information, has been off the air since its disconnection by Kaduna Electric Distribution Company.

Concerned citizens from Ikara, Zaria, and Makarfi, expressed their disappointment, emphasizing the station’s role in educating and enlightening the public. Musa Ibrahim Kofar Doka, one such listener, lamented the loss, urging immediate intervention to restore the station.

Hassan Tashar Yari, another concerned listener, called on the Federal Government and Northern elders, including the Arewa Consultative Forum, to save the station from collapse. He noted this is the longest period the station has been off the air in a decade.

Listeners are appealing to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation to urgently resolve the power issues, ensuring FRCN Kaduna’s return to the airwaves.
