A one-time head of state, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is Sunday billed in Bauchi to commission two major roads projects constructed by Governor Bala Mohammed’s led administration under his Urban and Rural Renewal developmental projects to promote the socioeconomic and wellbeing of Bauchi citizens.
The roads are the completed Dualization of 17.7KM Kano road to Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi, and the 30KM Gubi Gari, Ruda Bida , Siyi to Nasarawa road connecting two local Government areas of Bauchi and Ganjuwa in the state.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the governor on media and publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado Mohammed said that
roads infrastructural development aimed at boosting the socio-economic activities of Bauchi State, are testament to the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the progress and well-being of the people.
According to the adviser, Governor Bala Mohammed has demonstrated exemplary leadership through numerous developmental projects, which have transformed the landscape of the state and improved the standard of living of its citizens.
Gidado explained that the construction of these roads is part of the larger vision of ensuring that Bauchi State remains a hub of development, investment, and growth in Northern Nigeria, stressing that itself the visit of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo underscores the importance of these achievements and serves as a morale booster to the administration’s efforts to build a better future for Bauchi.
Obasanjo, also a former president of the country under a democratic rule has his presence in Bauchi State a reflection of the mutual respect and shared commitment to nation-building between past and present leadership, as the state government expressed it’s gratitude to him for honour the state with the visit, the statement said.
