Former NCAA DG Challenges The Sun’s False Graft Report

Katsina state government

Former Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Musa Nuhu, has vehemently refuted allegations published by The Sun newspaper on May 17, 2024.

The article claimed he was to be arraigned by the EFCC on graft charges.

In a stern statement issued by Chamo & Isma’il Chamber, Captain Nuhu’s legal representatives, the publication was labeled as “factually incorrect” and accused of causing significant damage to his professional reputation and personal well-being.

The statement served as a formal pre-action notice, warning that the defamatory nature of the article met all legal criteria under Nigerian law and would attract a lawsuit if not addressed.

Captain Nuhu’s legal team emphasized that defamation occurs when false statements are published that harm an individual’s reputation, demanding The Sun retract the damaging claims or face legal consequences.
