Over 1,664 people have been confirmed homeless in communities in Gada Local Council of Sokoto state weekend.
The Sokoto environmental protection agency (SEMA) PRO Mallam Abdullahi Dani who confirmed this offer access rent of the affected communities said several head cattle’s, rams, sheep’s and goats were swept away by the flood.

He confirmed further that over 162 houses and hamlets were destroyed by the flood disaster in all the affected communities.
It also learnt that farm crops such as millet, Geaine Corn Rice and other were completely swept off by the flood while displaced victims are now taken refuge in primary schools and adjourning villages and with others that fled to the council secretarial at Gada town
