The Federal Government has unveiled plans to equip the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Daura, Katsina State, with state-of-the-art diagnostic machines, including a CT scan, digital X-ray, and mammography units.
The move is aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in the region and giving residents access to modern medical services without the stress and cost of traveling to distant cities.
According to BusinessDay, the initiative reflects the government’s broader commitment to upgrade health infrastructure nationwide, with special focus on underserved areas grappling with rising health concerns.
Officials say the installation will aid early disease detection, improve treatment outcomes, and significantly ease the burden on patients who currently depend on facilities outside Katsina State for specialized care.
