
Federal Government has assured Nigerians that the Armed forces would never relent in its effort to confront all threats to the nation.
The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi retired gave the assurance at the graduation ceremony of officers of short service course forty-seven held at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi retired explained that the Armed forces have witnessed an unprecedented support in the acquisition of equipment and capacity building, which have impacted positively on the performance of troops.
He assured of government’s commitment to building an armed forces that would be the pride of the nation, capable of defending the country against internal and external threats.
The minister commended the President for his effort towards repositioning the armed forces and strengthening national security.
Major General Bashir Magashi charged the newly commissioned officers to utilize the skills they acquired during their training in their deployment to various theatres of operations in the country.
He also charged them to be dedicated and loyal in the discharge of their duties to Nigeria.
A total of Two Hundred and Ninety-five officers, out of which two are from the Republic of Liberia, passed out after undergoing an eleven-month training.
