The long-awaited rehabilitation of the Yobe State University Road in Damaturu has commenced under the direct supervision of the Federal Ministry of Works, bringing renewed hope to residents, students, and motorists in the Yobe State capital.
The project, executed in line with Project Code SUP2023184, is designed to significantly improve road safety, ease traffic congestion, and enhance access to key parts of Damaturu, including the Yobe State University community.
Officials said the intervention reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to upgrading critical road infrastructure and supporting socio-economic activities in the North-East.
When completed, the rehabilitated road is expected to reduce travel time, boost commercial activities, and provide a smoother, safer driving experience for thousands of daily road users.
Residents have welcomed the development, describing it as a timely intervention that will not only improve mobility but also enhance the overall outlook of Damaturu as a growing state capital.
