In a dramatic midnight operation, troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with C-Watch operatives, arrested a female suspect in Malumfashi town, Katsina State, allegedly attempting to smuggle military gear and ammunition.
The suspect, intercepted around 1:00 a.m. at a routine checkpoint, raised suspicion when she tried to discreetly exit the town. A thorough search of her bag revealed shocking contents: a full military uniform, tactical trousers, a combat jacket, three loaded rifle magazines, communication gadgets, and other sensitive security equipment.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect is now in custody undergoing intense interrogation. While her identity remains undisclosed, insiders suggest she may be part of a broader network supplying arms and gear to terrorist factions in the region.
The arrest has heightened concerns about the growing sophistication of logistics operations supporting terror groups in Nigeria’s northwest, with security agencies now on high alert.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, and more arrests may follow as they unravel the suspect’s mission and connections.
