The Regional Coordinator of Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) in charge of Jigawa and Katsina States, Abubakar Tijani said FCDO have been partnering with different states in Nigeria for more than 20 years in rendering agricultural support to the people
He said that they were in Katsina State to support the state to achieve SDGs goals , stressing that FCDO in Katsina would continue to support agricultural sector and people with special needs in the rural areas.
According to him, FCDO had introduced social protect and agricultural support programme to support farmers and vulnerable communities.
He said that it was part of development plan to bring new strategies on how to improve seeds to farmers, adding that they were in the state to strengthen relationship with the government.
In his remarks , the Political Director and country representative Of Pop Com plus, Dr. Ade Adei said that their objectives were designed to transform agricultural activities for people to sustain livelihood and help them to reduce conflicts in the society and support farmers in agriculture.
