A devastating road accident on the Katsina–Dutsinma highway has left an entire vehicle’s occupants dead, as a private car somersaulted and burst into flames in a chilling Saturday afternoon tragedy.
Eyewitnesses say the Toyota Camry lost control while cruising along the busy route before flipping multiple times and catching fire near the Tashar Kalgo axis. The horrifying inferno reportedly consumed all passengers on board, who were trapped inside and burned beyond recognition.
Though the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed at the time of filing this report, emergency responders at the scene expressed shock at the intensity of the blaze and the total destruction of the vehicle.
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), speaking under anonymity, described the accident as one of the most severe witnessed in recent months. “We couldn’t recover a single body in a recognizable state. It’s tragic and deeply painful,” the official stated.
The cause of the accident is yet to be officially determined, but preliminary reports suggest overspeeding and possible brake failure may have played a role.
