Kankara’s farmlands are under a brutal siege as bandits launch relentless attacks on farming communities, threatening Nigeria’s food security.

Last Saturday, nearly 50 farmers were mercilessly killed near Yar Goje town. In a horrifying escalation, a military armored vehicle sent to assist was set ablaze, causing casualties among security personnel.

Just a week earlier, 15 farmers and their vigilante protectors were ambushed and killed while working fields between Mabai and Katsalle. These vicious assaults paint a grim picture of the escalating insecurity plaguing Kankara.

The human toll is devastating, with more bodies being discovered and the injured fighting for their lives in overwhelmed hospitals.
