Renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), has dragged Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook, to court, demanding $5 million in damages over alleged privacy invasion.

Falana, known for his fierce advocacy on human rights and civil liberties, accuses Meta of unlawfully accessing and misusing private data, a violation he argues breaches users’ fundamental rights.

The lawsuit, filed at the Federal High Court, seeks accountability from the tech giant and aims to set a precedent for digital privacy protection in Nigeria.
