Falana Condemns Terrorism, Treason Charges Against Protesters, Calls Move ‘Illegal’

Renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, has fiercely criticized the Nigeria Police Force’s decision to charge 130 protesters, including 29 minors, with terrorism and treason.

Falana slammed the move as “an unlawful attack on civil liberties,” urging authorities to drop what he called “baseless accusations” aimed at silencing public dissent.

The protests, which took place across several state capitals, led to the protesters being arraigned on 10 serious charges.
