Military EOD Team Scans Scene as Investigation Begins
An explosion rocked the Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge near the Roundabout Checkpoint in Abuja at exactly 2:32 PM on May 25, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured.
According to preliminary incident reports, the blast occurred when an explosive device detonated, killing the person carrying it. A second individual sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Defence Medical Hospital, Abuja.
Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams swiftly moved to the scene to secure the area and conduct a thorough sweep for possible secondary devices.
