KATSINA — Joy, pride and spiritual fulfillment filled the air as Madrasatul Banu Iliyasu, situated behind Chake Store in Kofar Kaura, Katsina city, held a colourful prize-giving ceremony to honour students who distinguished themselves in academic and moral excellence.
The ceremony, organised at the close of the academic term ahead of the Ramadan break, drew teachers, parents, stakeholders and students—both male and female—in a remarkable gathering that celebrated dedication, discipline and scholarship.
Students who excelled in Qur’an memorisation and recitation, Hadith studies, Tawhid (Islamic Monotheism), Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) and other core subjects were recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performances.
The event featured impressive Qur’anic recitations, Hadith presentations and eloquent speeches by the students, earning admiration from the audience and reflecting the high standard of teaching and moral upbringing upheld by the school.
Addressing the gathering, the Head of the School, Malam Abdulhadi Abubakar Jihad, called on parents to remain steadfast in prioritising both education and moral guidance for their children.
He stressed that well-trained and morally upright children remain the bedrock of a progressive and peaceful society.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Dr. Aminu Sabiru expressed deep appreciation to the teachers for their unwavering commitment, patience and sacrifice in nurturing the students academically and morally. He further urged parents to continue supporting the school’s mission to ensure sustained growth and development.
The memorable ceremony ended on a spiritual note with special prayers offered for the continued success, protection and prosperity of the students and Madrasatul Banu Iliyasu as a centre of learning and character building in Katsina.
