Katsina state government

Former Chief Press Secretary to ex-Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu, Ibrahim Musa Kallah, has passionately advocated for a special salary scale for Nigerian journalists.

During an interaction session in Katsina, Kallah highlighted journalism as the most neglected sector in Nigeria, urging both government and private media sectors to take immediate steps to improve journalists’ salaries.

“Journalists in Nigeria can’t even afford a bag of rice with their current salaries,” Kallah lamented.
