Following his zeal, encouragement and support through the Workaholic Commissioner Ministry of Youths and Sports development Comrade Saiina Buba, the desert warriors of Borno State break the silence by promoting to the Nigerian Premier League this season as well as reaching the final stage of Presidential Federation Cup.
Elkanemi Warriors Football Club at the just concluded Nigerian National League NNL Super Eight picked Nigeria Premier League ticket in group B along side Nasarawa United which took place in Enugu.
Already,the Warriors where in Semi Final stage of Presidential Federation Cup which they also defeated Kebbi United in a penalty shoot-out by Four goals to Five in favour of Elkanemi Warriors.
The Semi Final was played at the Federal Capital territory Abuja as the neutral ground for teams.
Elkanemi Warriors are now to play against Abia Warriors in the final stage which they defeated Kano Pillars in a penalty shoot-out with same score line on the 29 of June 2024.
It’s could be recall that Elkanemi Warriors played it last Federation Cup final since 2001 which is twenty three years were it lost by two goals to nothing against Dolphins of Port Harcourt.
Football supporters and resident of the state where full of joy and happiness as well as praying for the best governor in the North East and Nigeria at large to continue serving his people with what they need must.
It could be recall that Borno State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development under the able leadership of Comrade Saiina Buba has never missed to participate in any competition in the country due to concern and support given to the Youths in the state.
