Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, has backed Najaatu Mohammed’s claims in her ongoing face-off with National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, asserting that records from the Senate and Federal Executive Council (FEC) proceedings in 2006 will confirm that Ribadu indeed made the controversial statements in question.
El-Rufai, in a post on his X account, stated that a Daily Trust report from February 2007 further corroborates the allegations, urging those with access to official records to subpoena FEC conclusions from the SGF’s office.
He emphasized that during a Special FEC meeting in 2006, where he was a member, Ribadu’s EFCC presented similar accusations against multiple sitting officials.
“This is for the record and to remind the morally flexible that at some point in our national life, silence is no longer golden,” El-Rufai concluded.
