The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Katsina State Command, has deployed 2,160 personnel to ensure a safe and secure Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.
State Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad announced the deployment while issuing the Operational Order on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Command Headquarters in Katsina. He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructures while maintaining law and order before, during, and after the festivities.
Commandant Ahmad emphasized the directives of NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, stressing the importance of intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement, and collaboration with other security agencies.
Security reinforcements will be stationed at:
✅ Emir’s Palaces in Katsina and Daura
✅ Central Mosques and Eid grounds across the state
✅ Hawan Bariki venues in Katsina and Daura Emirates
✅ All 34 Local Government Areas, covering key facilities and critical infrastructure
Commandant Ahmad tasked senior officers, including Area Commanders and Special Forces, with ensuring seamless coordination and effective patrols to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.
He urged NSCDC personnel to display professionalism, dedication, and synergy with sister security agencies while calling on residents to be vigilant and report suspicious activities.
The Commandant extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, traditional rulers, and the people of Katsina, praying for peace and progress in the state and the nation.
Residents are encouraged to cooperate with security personnel and uphold the law to ensure a peaceful celebration.
