In a bold move to recover looted funds, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, today handed over a sprawling estate of 750 confiscated luxury duplexes to the Minister of Housing.

The handover ceremony marks a new phase in the federal government’s strategy to turn seized assets into national gains. The estate, located in a prime area, is set to be made available for public purchase in the coming weeks.

“This is a victory for accountability and a step forward in making housing more accessible to Nigerians,” Olukoyede said during the event. The Housing Ministry revealed that the properties will be transparently sold to interested buyers, with proceeds channeled back into national development.

This development aligns with President Tinibu’s Renewed Hope Housing Agenda and signals the government’s seriousness in both fighting corruption and addressing Nigeria’s housing deficit.
