The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a popular Kaduna-based social media influencer, widely known as Sarkin Sultan, over alleged cyber-related offences.
Security sources told this newspaper on Saturday that the influencer was picked up in the early hours following a series of petitions lodged against him.
One complainant alleged that Sarkin Sultan threatened to release her private images online, a move that triggered a swift investigation by security operatives.
Preliminary findings, sources said, have already linked the suspect to activities under probe. He is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday once investigations are wrapped up.
