A large number of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada local government area of Sokoto state have join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Receiving the defectors, a leading figure in the opposition, Sen. Abubakar Gada, said the defectors joined the ADC to rescue the nation from the many challenges facing the country.
Gada said Eastern senatorial district of Sokoto is faced with troubling security challenges that has affected agriculture activities, which is now responsible for high rate of poverty, joblessness and hunger.
He said more people have embraced the ADC at various levels in the state due to the poor performance of the APC government and are now joining the opposition coalition under the platform of the ADC to rescue the nation.
Gada reatraited that ADC embarked on grassroots mobilizations and sensitizing Nigerians on importance of good governance and democratic processes.
He urged on supporters to remain calm, loyal and focus on issues that promote good governance and impacts on peoples wellbeing.
