Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state has reiterated his administration’s dedication to emergency preparedness for safety of lives and properties.

The Governor expressed that during the unveiling of two fire-fighting vehicles allocated to Kano State by the Federal Fire Service on Tuesday.

The Governor explained the assurance in making Judicious utilization of the two digital fire-fighting trucks recently provided by the Federal Government.

He graciously accepted the donation from the Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Kano Command, conveying his gratitude for the gesture and pledging to furnish the necessary resources and support for the Service to discharge its constitutional duties efficiently.

“We are praised the Federal Government for the donation, emphasizing its significant benefits to the people of Kano State by enhancing their safety and security.”

He also highlighted that the new fire-fighting vehicles would markedly enhance his administration’s ongoing endeavors to ensure a swift and efficient response to fire emergencies.

In his speech Engineer A. Kazeem, the Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Kano Command, underscored the importance of the newly deployed digital fire-fighting trucks in safeguarding lives and properties in the state.

He revealed that out of the 20 states selected to receive the fire-fighting trucks, Kano State was privileged to be among the recipients.

The Controller emphasized the advanced features of the fire-fighting trucks, such as their 600-liter water capacity and 50-liter foam compound for effective fire suppression.

He also mentioned that 200 skilled firefighters have been deployed to Kano to further assist the state government in ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
