Dangote, MRS Partner to Slash Petrol Price to N935/L Nationwide

In a groundbreaking move, the Dangote Refinery has joined forces with MRS to bring Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Nigerians at a reduced price of N935 per litre across MRS retail outlets nationwide.

This development follows Dangote’s recent price cut from N970 to N899.50 at its refinery loading gantry, coupled with extended credit terms to marketers. The new pricing initiative has already commenced in Lagos and will roll out across the nation starting Monday.

Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, attributed this price reduction to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s naira-for-crude swap arrangement, which has stabilized the economy and eased forex pressures.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dangote stated, “This partnership with MRS ensures that Nigerians can access high-quality petrol at reduced prices. We urge other marketers, including NNPC Retail, to join this effort to deliver affordable fuel to every Nigerian.”

Highlighting the benefits of domestic refining, Dangote added, “The Dangote Refinery exists to serve Nigeria and Nigerians. By working with key players across the value chain, we aim to provide products that are good for vehicles, health, and pockets.”

He commended the Federal Government for fostering a conducive environment for local refining and thanked Nigerians for their unwavering support.

This move marks a significant milestone in the nation’s energy sector, signaling brighter days for Nigerian consumers.
