— Free Logistics, Credit Offers, and Direct Sales Set to Transform Downstream Petroleum Sector
In what is being described as a game-changing moment for Nigeria’s energy sector, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced the commencement of nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel, beginning August 15, 2025.
The bold new initiative will supply products directly to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms companies, aviation firms, and other large-scale users—with logistics completely free.
To drive this historic rollout, the refinery has deployed 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers, a move aimed at revolutionising fuel distribution across Nigeria while promoting cleaner energy alternatives.
In addition, over 100 mobile CNG booster stations will support last-mile delivery, guaranteeing seamless distribution across cities, towns, and rural communities.
“This isn’t just a supply move—it’s an economic breakthrough,” said officials at the Dangote Refinery. “We are delivering affordable fuel, cutting logistics costs, supporting industries, and ensuring every Nigerian has access to energy—no matter their location.”
The company has also launched a credit facility for bulk buyers: customers purchasing 500,000 litres of fuel will be eligible to receive another 500,000 litres on credit for two weeks, backed by a bank guarantee.
This groundbreaking initiative is poised to:
- Revive dormant fuel stations across the country
- Reduce inflation by cutting industrial energy costs
- Create jobs and stimulate the SME sector
- Boost investor confidence in Nigeria’s downstream sector
- Enhance rural access to clean and affordable fuel
Dangote Petroleum Refinery is calling on all stakeholders—marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms firms, and aviation companies—to register for participation between June 16 and August 15, through a 60-day KYC verification process.
This launch is aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and complements the Naira-for-Crude policy, which has helped stabilise Nigeria’s fuel supply chain amidst global uncertainties.
“Today marks not just a milestone for Dangote Group but a significant leap forward for Nigeria’s economic stability and energy self-reliance,” the statement concluded.
