
The Acting Comptroller in charge of Katsina Customs Area Command, DC Dalha Wada Chedi announced this in a press conference held at the command headquarters in Katsina State.
Chedi explained that all smuggling activities will be suppressed no matter how tricked the smugglers are as vehicles and other facilities challenges hitherto facing the service in carrying out its assigned task have been largely addressed by the Customs Comptroller General.
The command also announce that within January this year seized contraband items with the Duty Paid Value of over 69 Million, Naira.
The items on display include ten assorted vehicles with the Duty Paid Value of 24 million, 151 thousand Naira alongside foreign food and non-food items worth 45 Million, 457 thousand, 700 Naira.
The command is also organizing conferences to always sensitize the public on the Customs activities.
