In a proactive move to strengthen youth engagement and campus security, the Zamfara State Police Command has wrapped up a successful two-day Community Policing Sensitisation Programme targeting students of tertiary institutions in Talata Mafara.

Held from July 30 to 31, 2025, the sensitisation campaign, spearheaded by Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, psc+, brought together key stakeholders—including traditional leaders, security operatives, school administrators, and students—to champion a safer academic and community environment.

The Emir of Mafara, His Royal Highness Dr. Bello Muhammad Barmo, OON, Sarkin Mafara, was a distinguished presence at the event. He charged the youth to embrace peace, unity, and responsibility as pillars of lasting development, while blessing the initiative as timely and essential.
