CP Bello Shehu Hosts Maiden Security Conference, Honours Officers for Rejecting ₦1m Bribe in Katsina

In a decisive move to strengthen security and boost morale, the Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Bello Shehu, on May 2nd, 2025, held his maiden end-of-month conference with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Command Heads.

The conference, held at the command headquarters, focused on refining security strategies, enhancing professionalism, and reinforcing public trust in the police. During the event, CP Bello Shehu commended five exemplary officers with letters of commendation for rejecting a ₦1 million bribe, apprehending two suspected car thieves, and recovering stolen vehicles.

“Integrity, diligence, and commitment to duty are the hallmarks of the Force,” CP Shehu declared. “I applaud the bravery and uprightness of these officers and urge others to emulate their conduct.”

The CP also reviewed the state’s security framework and charged officers to sustain high standards of discipline and service excellence. The move reflects a renewed drive by the command to ensure safety and professionalism across Katsina State.

Police spokesman, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, anipr, reaffirmed the command’s dedication to public safety and integrity, stressing that the Force will continue to reward excellence while cracking down on criminality.
