Borno State Government

A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced a former Borno senatorial candidate, Babagana Habeeb, to 10 years in prison for aiding terrorism.

Delivering judgment, Justice Peter Odo Lifu found Habeeb guilty of supplying petroleum products to the Boko Haram insurgents.

The conviction followed a lone-count charge filed by the Federal Government, accusing the politician of aiding and abetting terrorist activities in the country.
