Commit to Duty, Leave a Legacy, Katsina SGS Tells Workers

Civil servants in Katsina State have been called upon to rededicate themselves to their duties to earn public respect and leave a legacy of honor.

This charge was delivered by the Secretary to the State Government (SGS), Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Faskari, during a send-forth ceremony for the retiring Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Security, Alhaji Salisu Abdu.

Praising Abdu as a model of endurance, hard work, and patience, Faskari emphasized the pivotal role of civil servants in driving government policies and programs. “Your commitment ensures the success of every government initiative,” he noted.

Alhaji Salisu Abdu, who retired on January 2, 2025, after 35 years of distinguished service, was celebrated for his exemplary contributions. Speakers, including Alhaji Mustapha Zubairu, Permanent Secretary of Political and Common Services, lauded his remarkable qualities and impact.

In his farewell message, Faskari prayed for Allah’s guidance in Abdu’s future endeavors and urged other civil servants to emulate his dedication and professionalism.
